Description

For optimum development of water lilies and marsh plants the structure and the composition of the substrate is of great importance. The structure should be sufficiently ‘open’, to guarantee a constant proper circulation of oxygen-rich water in the soil material. The composition should be chosen such, that  the material contains a sufficient amount of mineral nutrients and trace elements, thus guaranteeing an optimum and constant growth. These were the two important factors which were the basic assumptions when composing this pond soil.
